How DM Water Plant Works?
Step 1 / Pretreatment
Raw water treatment removes suspended solids, macromolecules, and particulates using multi-media filters (sand, gravel, anthracite) or cartridge filters. This step also protects membranes and IED beds.
Step 2 / RO System
RO system removes more than 97-99% of dissolved ions. There is also bulk removal of impurities, reducing TDS to below 10 ppm, preparing water for final polishing. Multiple passes (single or double-pass RO) may be used for higher purity.
Step 3 / Electrodeionization (EDI) and Post-treatment
Final polishing to ultra-pure levels (<1 µS/cm conductivity, <1 ppm TDS). EDI combines ion exchange and membrane technology for continuous, chemical-free deionization. The final post-treatment with UV step ensures water remains ultra-pure without pathogens during distribution and use.
